If you are gifted:

You sort of have to test what you can do. Now, I don't mean endangering your life to find out what you are capable of (even though at times I did this). But, I have always had this sense of how far I could take things without dying. Many people aren't like this and if they ran out their front door they might just fall down their steps and break their ankle or leg. But, I tend not to be like this. I have not only been very coordinated my whole life but I have great instincts regarding self preservation too.

But, it's true you cannot go very far with all of this unless you scientifically test what you are capable of.

But, if you aren't very practical you might wind up dead too. So, be careful.

Especially between 18 and 25 I was always taking physical risks like dirt bike motorcycles riding across the desert, Rock climbing with 1000 feet or more exposure if I fell, Surfing and Skiing and stuff like this or riding across the desert or down dry washes in the desert with dune buggies and stuff like this and also Scuba diving down to at least 50 feet in depth at Catalina. I can remember when I was about 12 or 14 when I had passed my junior diver certification with the Brauer Brothers who had a show on TV then called "Territory Underwater". They had a special that you could become a certified diver with a free trip to Catalina island on their dive boats all for only $25.00. This seems impossible now but they had a lot of people doing this then and so they likely made their money on the equipment they sold them at their dive shops in Los Angeles County.

But, anyway I was 12 or 14 and I went down the anchor chain and I looked up and there was the Dive boat which looked like it was sitting on top of a telephone pole above me in height because I was 50 feet deep in the ocean at the time I think this was 1962 if I remember correctly. Then a guy came down who had bubbles coming out of his two hose 2 stage old fashioned regulator on the tank and I pointed out that his oxygen was escaping really fast so he went back up because he might have cross threaded the Regulator when he put it on the tank or something. So, he lived.

But, the point of all this is: If you are gifted you sort of need to know what your abilities are so you can help people but also survive your life as well. So far, I've made it 72 years. However, if you had asked me at 21 or 23 I likely would have told you I wouldn't make it past 25 years of age. Psychologically that was true. I had to become a much more mature person to raise my son when he was born when I was 26 and the changes I had to go through to raise my son likely saved my life as well. Because I became a completely different and more mature person at 26 than I had ever been at 25 before I got married.

By God's Grace
